Relocating to Devon with children.
Devon is a wonderful county for children to grow up in and they will love it.
You are never far from a beach for great surfing, sailing and swimming or just to relax, build sandcastles or explore rock pools.
The National Parks of Dartmoor and Exmoor have vast areas of open space to explore whether you go walking, pony trekking, rock climbing, camping or to have a day out and eat an ice cream on Haytor.
Just outside Exeter is the Forestry Commission owned Haldon Forest Park which is an activity centre for all ages. Set in the forest there are adventure play trails and miles of off road tracks for cycling, walking or horse riding.
One great advantage for families with children is that Devon is a popular holiday destination with some great tourist attractions throughout the county. Many stay open and full use can be made of their facilities at less busy times. There is a huge variety to suit all families including theme adventure parks, water parks and swimming pools, museums, indoor play centres and softplay for toddlers, wildlife parks and zoos, steam railways, pottery making and ceramic cafe’s, roller and ice skating rinks, ski and snowboard slopes, climbing walls, sea and marine centres.
There are plenty of sporting activities for children of all ages with county and local clubs for the usual sporting activities including football, cricket, rugby, netball, hockey, swimming, sailing, fishing, etc.
Devon HomeFinder has the advantage of living in the region and can help you locate all these activities and many more for the children (and adults) to enjoy.
Using Devon HomeFinder really is the easy way to move. |
